I got this shot during our trip to Acadia National Park last year… This bird was dead and washed ashore. I was originally thinking about a right title to share this picture and then came by this topic for the weekly photo challenge… thought it kind of made sense…
I was looking forward to this day a lot. Except I did not plan properly by choosing a good spot to take the super moon ahead of time. By the time I got a glimpse of the moon, he was up in the sky and the effect of the super moon in terms of size was gone.
This shot was from a near by road. Luckily there wasnt too much traffic.

This shot was from our parking lot. There are a lot of pine trees and the moon showed up within that little opening.

Hope you like them. Would love to hear your comments/thoughts.
This is a pic i shot at the Roger William Park Zoo, RI. I have been lucky enough to see giraffes at all the zoos I have been to. Unlike other animals, giraffes have been generous enough to pose for interesting shots. This is certainly one of the awwwww moments I have seen.
A pic that I shot in Ooty Botanical Garden. Interestingly the honey bee with yellow strips chose yellow flowers… 🙂
When we talk about changing seasons, the first thing that comes to my mind is the ‘fall colors’… Here is a tree that I shot at Cooper’s rock state park… Among other trees which had a little bit of green this one had completely turned colors…
I took this picture at the Pittsburgh Zoo in 2010. This Sea Lion was just out of the cold water, looking up at the Sun and was as if he was thanking the sun for a beautiful morning.
Flower of a ‘touch me not’ plant. I like the fiber optic effect on the petals of the flower. I was glad I had the macro lens handy.
