Weekly Photo Challenge: Perspective (angle)

This is nice topic for the photo challenge. Often you get perspectives on photos based on the angle in which take a shot… I took this at Washington DC a few years back. A picture of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing… when you are walking by this building and look up to your right, thats the view you will get… I thought it was different and hence took this shot… Hope you like it.

Flume Gorge NH Waterfalls

We visited New Hampshire over the weekend and walked up to the Flume Gorge waterfalls. Actually I would name it Flume ‘Gorgeous’. This place is stunning. It is a must visit place during fall.

I am going to post a series of pics from there and here are a couple of Waterfalls and Water stream pics. Hope you like them.

Acadia National Park – Part 1

Last weekend, we visited the Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor ME. It was a perfect weekend to be there in the Park.  The weather was fantastic. We spent two days in Bar harbor and visited several places. So have am having the split the pictures into several parts covering my whole trip… Here you go.

Day 1 – We went straight the Cadillac mountain. The view from that place is spectacular. You can see the Frenchman Bay and several little islands.

Black Water Falls, WV

These are pictures of the one of most beautiful places to visit during the summer/fall season – BlackWater falls, WV. I took these a couple of years back.

There are several falls in this park and here is a shot of the main falls. I have taken this with some additional exposure to give it that look.

Birdy Birdy Couple

Well looking at this pictures, I know what you are thinking… Well it is not what you are thinking… 🙂 Read along….

I found some birds where collecting food… But there were a couple who am sure were a couple. The one which looks a little plump actually was walking along his wife and letting her drop the food she is collecting into his mouth… I am sure they were collecting food for their kids back in the nest…  Here are a couple of more pics..

Touch Me Not Flower

Flower of a ‘touch me not’ plant. I like the fiber optic effect on the petals of the flower. I was glad I had the macro lens handy.

Inverter Light

With frequent power cuts, this is pretty much the saviour during Summer (from heat) and Winter (from mosquitos). It is almost a must have in urban India. But still majority of India is reeling in power crisis with villages and rural area not having power for almost 6 hours a day.
